New importer in Bosnia and Herzegovina

2015-07-02

Porsche Holding Salzburg, Europe's largest automotive retail company, assumed responsibility for the Volkswagen Group's brands in the market of Bosnia and Herzegovina on 1 July 2015. The new importer, called Porsche BH d.o.o. Sarajevo, will thus handle the brands of Volkswagen Passenger Vehicles, Volkswagen Light Commercial Vehicles, Audi, SEAT, ŠKODA and Porsche. "Bosnia and Herzegovina means that we are now represented as importers in all the countries of the CEE region, and we are delighted that we will therefore be able to contribute our long-standing experience in the automotive wholesale and retail business here in Bosnia and Herzegovina," stressed Alain Favey, CEO of the PHS Management Board, at the press conference in Sarajevo's City Hall. "We are taking over a very successful company from the ASA Group, which already achieved outstanding results in the past with a market share of 40%." The employees who previously worked for ASA Holding and its two dealerships were transferred to the new company responsible for the country, Porsche BH d.o.o. Sarajevo.

For Porsche Holding Salzburg the move also fills in the last blank space on the map in South/East Europe. Having assumed responsibility as the importer for Bosnia and Herzegovina as of mid-2015, PHS will not only operate in wholesale and retail with Volkswagen Group brands in Austria, but also in all twelve countries in the CEE region and in Ukraine.
