New tasks for Porsche Holding Salzburg
From January 1, 2012, Porsche Holding Salzburg will take over the responsibility for the import business of the Volkswagen passenger cars brand in Colombia. The newly founded subsidiary Porsche Colombia, with its headquarters in Bogotá, is to considerably expand the presence of the Volkswagen brand in the Colombian car market which counts approximately 300,000 new vehicles. Most employees of the former Colombian importer will be taken over by Porsche Colombia. Alin Tapalaga, up to now member of the management of Porsche Inter Auto Romania, will assume the management in Colombia.
Porsche Holding Salzburg will also be in charge of the import of the Volkswagen, AUDI and SEAT brands in the Czech Republic. From January 1, 2012, Josef Roider, up to now responsible for the Czech distribution group Porsche Inter Auto as well as the Czech Porsche importer, goes to manage the Czech import company. The former import company IVG, Prague, itself and all of its 135 employees will be integrated into Porsche Holding’s team. The distribution of the ŠKODA brand continues to remain “at home” and under the direct responsibility of the manufacturer ŠKODA.
Porsche Holding also takes over the management of all Spanish and Polish retailers owned by the Volkswagen Group.
