  • Private automotive retailer Auto Carrera Bz S.r.l. to become part of Porsche Holding subsidiary Eurocar Italia
  • The Porsche Center in Bolzano will be the perfect addition to the regional presence in northern Italy and activities in the luxury and sports car segment

Salzburg/Bolzano, 9 January 2023 - Porsche Holding Salzburg, Europe's most successful automotive distributor, is continuing to pursue its course of strategic growth and will bridge a further geographic gap in northern Italy with its acquisition of Auto Carrera Bz S.r.l. From its dealership in Bolzano, this company looks after sales and service for the exclusive sports car brand Porsche. Auto Carrera Bz S.r.l. currently has 14 employees, delivers around 110 new and 100 used cars per year and generated turnover of approximately 17 million euros in 2021.

A long-established automotive retailer in Bolzano

"After 100 years of being in the automotive trade, selling the company to the Eurocar Italia Group was an emotional and difficult decision for our family, but also one that we carefully thought through. Never before has the automotive sector faced such a momentous and forward-looking moment of great change. That's why I decided to entrust the company and its 14 employees to an international conglomerate that has all the capabilities needed to meet the new challenges that lie ahead. In taking this step, my family is leaving this line of business for good," said Franz Staffler, commenting on the decision.

"We are very pleased that another successful automotive retailer in Italy, which delivers excellent market performance with the Porsche brand in Bolzano, will become part of the Porsche Holding family. Auto Carrera Bz S.r.l. with its excellent reputation is a promising and forward-looking addition to Eurocar Italia's existing dealer network and will boost our activities in the luxury and sports car sector. We would like to thank the Staffler family for their trust and will continue the dealership's tradition and the successful path it was already following," assured Rainer Schroll, PHS Board member responsible for retail.

Eurocar Italia remains on course for growth

"We are delighted that the Porsche Centre in Bolzano, with its team of highly professional employees, will become part of the Eurocar Italia Group. This is a very special moment for a South Tyrol native like myself, because in taking this step we are acquiring our first showroom in South Tyrol. The Porsche Centre in Bolzano represents an important milestone in strengthening our presence in Trentino-South Tyrol in the long term and continuing to grow sustainably as a group in Italy," said Matthias Moser, Managing Director of Porsche Holding subsidiary Eurocar Italia.

Following the acquisition of Auto Carrera Bz S.r.l., Eurocar Italia's sales volume will increase to around 44,300 new cars and 21,600 used vehicles. The Porsche Holding Salzburg subsidiary currently employs more than 1,700 people at a total of 45 dealerships in the regions of Friuli, Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Piedmont, Tuscany, Liguria and Trentino-South Tyrol.
