MOON POWER GmbH, based in Salzburg, is continuing its strategic expansion course and further extending its business activities towards southern Europe. MOON POWER Italia officially started operations on 1 September 2025. Thus, Porsche Holding Salzburg’s centre of excellence for e-mobility is now active in 26 countries.

MOON POWER’s entry into Italy has been carefully planned and the timing is perfect. The southern European country is not only the third largest car market in the European Union after Germany and France, it is also currently picking up speed in the mobility revolution. New registrations of electric vehicles had already risen sharply at the beginning of the year, before a 600-million-euro subsidy package in favour of new electric cars was approved by the government at the beginning of August.

The Italian MOON POWER team is part of Volkswagen Group Italia, based in Verona, whose business activities have been managed by Porsche Holding Salzburg since June 2024.

Under the leadership of Francesco Quaglieri, MOON POWER Italia will focus primarily on B2B projects and support companies whose fleets either already consist of fully electric vehicles (BEVs) or plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) or are to be converted with solutions specifically tailored to their needs.

MOON POWER Italia is available on request as the exclusive contact for integrating the complete ecosystem. The offering ranges from hardware and software in the form of charging stations, energy storage systems and load management systems to consulting, maintenance and support services. This means that MOON POWER Italia can cover all areas of such a project, from design and implementation to installation and daily operation.
