Focus on Climate Protection
When it comes to mitigating climate change, we see the greatest leverage in climate and environmental protection measures. Our company’s carbon footprint is the key measure of progress here. The goal of all measures is a lasting reduction of this footprint.
We want to achieve this by reducing CO2 emissions and increasing the share of fully electric vehicles sold. The following focus fields contribute to these efforts: “Zero Emission Mobility”, “Green Finance”, “Circular Economy”, “Green Building” and “Green Operations & Digital Business”. Climate protection and the reduction of CO2 emissions involve efforts that extend across all of our business divisions.
Reduction of CO2 emissions
At Porsche Holding Salzburg, our carbon footprint forms the basis for analysing emissions and systematically working to reduce them. We have set ourselves the target of reducing our CO2 emissions 42 percent by 2030 compared to the baseline year 2021.
We want to achieve this reduction step by step with a six-point plan:
- Energy conservation in operations through changes in user behaviour
- Renovation of existing buildings
- Switching the company car fleet to BEVs
- Expansion of photovoltaic systems
- Purchase of green electricity
- Compensation of remaining emissions
Focus on fully electric vehicles
In order to reduce emissions relevant to climate change, we are focusing on marketing fully electric vehicles (BEVs) – with a wide range of sustainable and future-proof models and close collaboration with brand partnerships. We are also convinced that software-driven revenue will become increasingly important and are working closely with car manufacturers to develop innovative technologies. Our aim is to offer our customers unique and innovative driving experiences through the seamless integration of software, services and vehicles. This forward-looking strategy is the basis for long-term success in a changing industry.
