Our seven focus fields
We are continuously developing our sustainability strategy along clearly defined fields of action – with a special focus on reducing CO2 emissions along our entire business activities. Our focus fields show where we are already taking action today, which topics we are driving forward and how these contribute to achieving our three strategic sustainability KPIs.
Key measures include the further development of our electric mobility offering and financing solutions, the electrification of our own fleets, the monitoring of compliance with supply chain standards, the implementation of governance training programs, female mentoring initiatives, the expansion of renewable energy sources, and measures to increase energy efficiency across our locations.
The topics presented are supported by specific measures, targets, and performance indicators, which are disclosed in the Sustainability Report.
Decarbonizing Mobility
We actively help shape the mobility of tomorrow and supporting the transition to lower-emission drives. A key focus is the expansion of our e-mobility offering and charging infrastructure, as well as the gradual electrification of our own vehicle fleets.
Current studies assessing the full life cycle of vehicles indicate that battery electric vehicles can generate lower greenhouse gas emissions and air pollutant emissions over their lifetime than vehicles with internal combustion engines under current and expected future conditions in Europe. The extent of this advantage, however, depends on several factors, including the electricity mix, vehicle type, and how the vehicle is used (e.g. ICCT, 2025). Green Finance
Through innovative financing products, we enable our customers to access modern mobility solutions with measurably reduced environmental impact, as well as a tailor-made charging infrastructure. These offerings are supported by initiatives such as Sharetoo and the Smart Driver App. At the same time, we are advancing the integration of ESG criteria into our financing activities and leveraging financing instruments such as ESG-linked loans.
Circular Economy
We implement targeted measures to increase resource efficiency and promote resource-conscious logistics. These include, among other initiatives, the development of take-back schemes for used parts and strategies for the reuse of traction batteries. We also work closely and transparently with our suppliers and contractually require compliance with our supply chain standards. Before and throughout the business relationship, we assess and monitor compliance through an established CSR rating and monitoring process.
Green Building
We plan, construct and operate resource-efficient buildings with the aim of measurably reducing emissions with an impact on the environment and indoor air quality over the entire life cycle. A wide range of measures contribute to this. These include in particular, the consistent implementation of energy efficiency measures, compliance with defined minimum standards and the implementation of recognised building certifications in new buildings. In addition, we ensure the procurement of green electricity and systematically drive forward the gradual substitution of fossil fuels such as oil and gas through the use of heat pump technologies. The strategic expansion of photovoltaic systems is another key pillar for achieving our sustainability goals.
Green Operations & Digital Business
The biggest lever for reducing our emissions lies in working with our dealers. That is why we specifically promote the sale of products and services with the lowest possible emissions.
At the same time, we design all processes relating to sales and workshop operations at our locations to be as resource-efficient as possible. This includes, among other things, concrete targets for energy savings, the consistent digitalization of processes, as well as clear concepts for waste management and responsible use of water, including water recycling solutions in our car wash facilities.

With targeted measures in the areas of health and safety at work, we not only ensure a safe working environment, but also actively protect our employees.

With binding guidelines such as the Code of Conduct, clear responsibilities and systematic qualification of all employees in all areas of the company, we ensure that integrity and compliance form the core of our business activities. The implementation of these principles and measures is firmly anchored in the corporate culture of Porsche Holding Salzburg.
